The first clash arrived when Esther tried to shove a surprise five-hour evening shift into the trainer’s calendar, ignoring prepaid social plans. Refusal was polite, brief, and final. Esther’s ego crisped in that instant, and a petty campaign began. The computer that once felt optional became gospel, suddenly sending the trainer to the furnace of Burger Back every single day. Esther lingered nearby, stopwatch mindset engaged, ready to pounce on any dropped utensil like a hawk spotting field mice.
Cosmetic inspections followed. Nails too glossy, socks allegedly the wrong shade, eyeliner deemed excessive though hidden under a visor. Anxiety mounted, panic attacks became routine, and finally a savage tooth infection pushed the trainer to an emergency pharmacy visit that required opioid painkillers. The head manager intercepted this exhausted employee and provided leave, yet Esther greeted the return with another wardrobe critique, zero compassion shown.
